One of the things I enjoy doing every year is attending The annual Hawkfest.
The 19th annual Hawkfest wings its way into Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown Township on Sept. 20th and 21st.Guest speakers, live birds, educational games and exhibits, hawk ID workshops, an art display and a "Kids' Kraft Korner" are part of the fun. Reg Pettibone's Native American Hawk Dancers will perform traditional eagle dances on Sept. 21. Registration is not required for the event. A $4 metropark vehicle entry permit is needed to enter the park.
